Japan Tech Innovation Seminar held in the Philippines

1. Event Overview

On August 13th, 2024, during the Philippines Space Week, IDDK co-hosted the “Japan Tech Innovation Seminar” with the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) and Leave a Nest Philippines. The seminar focused on showcasing advanced Japanese technologies and promoting the development of the space industry, aiming to deepen participants’ understanding.

2. Activities

During the seminar, Kohei Yoshioka, Co-CEO & CFO of IDDK, presented about IDDK’s activities and technologies. A demonstration of the Micro Imaging Device (MID), a semiconductor-based microscopy device, was conducted, highlighting its application in automating biological experiments in space. Participants had hands-on experience with the MID, exploring its potential uses in space.

3. Outcomes and Future Outlook

Through this event, we were able to highlight the impact of IDDK’s technologies on the growing space industry in the Philippines. Moving forward, IDDK will continue to promote space-related education and technology dissemination in the Asia-Pacific region, contributing to the development of a sustainable space industry.
